Sarah Rowley is a Taiwanese-American painter born in 1999. This Pittsburgh born artist spent her formative years in Beijing, China then moved back to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2014. Sarah received her Bachelors in Fine Arts from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in 2021. After receiving her degree, she continues to work and reside in Philadelphia. Her acrylic paintings consist of documenting everyday landscapes and still life, creating a body of work that she considers “portraits”. Through the use of vibrant colors and loose brushwork, it provides a unique and stylized insight into observations of the mundane by investigating the relationship between places and objects to the people interacting with it.
